I have Flora and the design is beautiful as well as smelling incredibly good.

Let me know whats on your Luxury List this Christmas. Love...

Omorovicza's Thermal Healing History

Over 2,000 years ago the healing properties of Hungary's Thermal Waters were first discovered and today Omorovicza have harnessed these healing powers into a luxurious range of skincare. The brand started when Stephen Omorovicza took his future wife Margaret to the baths in Budapest. They were both so amazed by the transformation in their skin that they teamed up with a Nobel prize-winning laboratory to create a skincare line that harnessed this precious waters power. The primarily anti-aging skincare range is mineral rich thanks to the wonderful Thermal Waters and is delivered in the skincare through Omorovicza's patented Hydro Mineral Transference delivery system. The Thermal Water's properties mixed with Vitamins, Essential Oils, and other natural products from across the globe have created the most luxurious and efficient skincare line. From classics like their Thermal Cleansing Balm to their much-ly coveted Queen of Hungary Mist, the line is certainly loved by celebrity's and bloggers alike. The award winning Thermal Cleansing Balm with its deep dark charcoal color melts into the skin removing all impurities and makeup without striping the it, making it perfect for the winter months and ageing skin. When you spray the Queen of Hungary mist on your face it feel like a thousand angle kisses, no seriously no exaggeration. The Neroli and Rose scented mist is a perfect mid-day pick me up or as a refreshing and hydrating toner after cleansing. It leaves the skin more supple, firmer, hydrated, and younger looking with star ingredients like Rose and Sage Waters, as well as Apple Pectin. Another stand out from the line is the Illuminating Moisturizer, containing Ruby crystal the moisturizer not only deeply hydrates it smooths the appearance of fine lines and adds that lit from within glow. The Plum Almond oil delivers long lasting hydration and the whole the cream leaves the skin looking younger, fresher, and more hydrated. Skincare has been around for generations but only now are we really harboring the worlds natural benefits like never before, and Omorovicza are certainly pioneers in that. Love...

Fresh Fragrance Journey

A holiday gift set that can transport the receiver to a whole new world. This Fragrance Journey trio fragrance set from Fresh offers three of their classic and timeless fragrances. All citrus based they range from fresh to sweet like the ever so iconic Brown Sugar Eau de Parfum which has that real Christmas-y sweet scent but with a uplifting twist of citrus. My personal favorite is Fresh Life Eau de Parfum, it smells like everything clean and healthy. It smells just like a fresh day, with sunny skies and clean sheets; a very hard one to describe indeed. Lastly you have the scent that is perfect for spring and summer, Hesperides Grapefruit Eau de Parfum. This is pure citrus but with a very fresh twist that stops it from becoming to sour, unlike some citrus scents that can smell a little like toilet cleaner. Each bottle is 15ml which doesn't sound like much but actually it's a pretty generous amount that is larger than a rollerball but still travel and handbag friendly. The bottles are really simple and pretty but sill look great on your vanity top. If you know a fragrance lover or you want that perfect gift for the girl who has everything, then this is it. Love...

P.S Happy Turkey Day!

Guerlain Eye & Blush Palette

Guerlain do the holidays like no other brand and the limited edition Eye and Blush Palette is no exception. It does have a hefty price tag, but really there is no better time to treat yourself or even ask that bearded fella for it. The palm sized palette contains four pink blushes in a mixture of finishes from matte to shimmery and then of course the five eye shadows that are all as equally pigmented and beautiful. They all have a opalescent finish and are perfect for the festive season, the champagne, brown and grey brown shades are perfect for that holiday party smokey eye and the pale pink and purple add a little twist. The shadows are very creamy and apply beautifully to the lids without creasing and with full pigmentation. While the blushes are small I find I can fit my brush in each one or use all four together for a perfect pink pop. In terms of palettes it's not the biggest or even best but this little gem sure is special, from the packaging to the lovely product inside; for me it's a holiday must have. Love...

Bourjois Roge Edition Velvets

I love a good matte lip, but anything that is drying is a big no no in my book so the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet's are perfect. The liquid formula glides on like a gloss and sets down to become a budge proof, non drying, matte lip.The color range is a little limiting and some shades are more miss than hit but in general for their price tag they're pretty darn great. Nudist is not actually a nude but more of a rose pink, the formula on this one is perfect. It applies really well without dragging or patching. Grand Cru is the shade that's most disappointing to me, it's a stunning color but sadly the application on this one is a little patchy. If you pair it with a lip liner then it is totally fine but beware by its self it can look a little off. Ole Flamingo is a bright rich pink that is a perfect summer color, I really like this one if I fancy something fun and the application is really good compared to Grand Cru. Lastly I have the only 'berry' shade Plum Plum Girl , I am loving it for this time of year and again the formula is good. Compared to the others the lasting power is a little off but you can still get a good few hours. Over all if you want that liquid lipstick without the high end price tag then I would say they do the drugstore option the best, but please Bourjois just a few more shades. Love..

A Holiday Gift Guide: DIY Gift Sets

While there are many amazing gift sets out there, beauty and otherwise, sometimes having the personal touch adds that little something special. I love making my own gift sets for perfect holiday gifts, that way you can give someone a little of everything you love. By taking a few of your favorite beauty, food, or even accessory items  you can create the perfect little hamper or even make up personalized sets and trinkets. Today I am sharing some of my ideas down below, there is no price guide here but you can make them all to be in the price range you are looking for.

A Trio of Beauty- Bundle up three products from your favorite beauty brand and give your friend/mum/sister a real treat this Christmas. I love Charlotte Tilbury so I have chosen three of my favorite products from her line. The Eyes To Mesmerise cream shadow is a beautiful rich brown, the matte lipstick in Very Victoria has a beautiful formula and lastly the Light Wonder Foundation is the perfect base.

Mini Manicure Set- Pick out your favorite base coat, color, top coat, and nail file and give someone the gift of a wonderful manicure. I think nothing is better or more festive than a perfect red nail polish so I have chosen Essie Russian Roulette along with their quick dry top coat and then my favorite crystal nail file with a healthy nail base coat.

2016 Planner and Pens- Nothing is better than a good planner for the year and this gift you can really put into any price range. This small planner if from Target for only a few dollars and the gold polka dots are adorable. I didn't have any special pens so I have just gone for some metallic's that will make the journal that extra bit special, but you can really go to town on the pen front; Kate Spade do some lovely ones.

Mini Makeup Bag- This little Sonia Kashuk bag is adorable so why not fill it with some wonderful beauty items? Whether you fill it with drugstore items or some luxury goodies it is bound to make a great treat. For an affordable option I have gone for Colourpop Cosmetics and filled it with my favorite Lippie Stix, Highlighters, Bronzers, Blushes, and Eye Shadows.

Nail Color Trio- I love Essie so why not share some of that love with my friends and family. Here I have picked out my three favorite blue shades 'Find Me An Oasis', 'Bikini So Tiny', and 'Butler Please' but you could do this with any nail polish brand or color. Certainly perfect for the nail junkie like me out there.

Sample Set- Do you hoard those store samples like me? Or maybe have hundreds of Sephora points? Why not use them to create a little sample bag for someone. Gifts like this can cost literally nothing and are a great way for someone to try out a ton of small products. Get a small trinket bag and the whole gift comes to life.

A Happy Jar- Now this one is a little mooshy but I like it just the same. Take a jar or tin and fill it with tons of happy note slips. Write what you love about that person, inspirational quotes, or just a happy thought, then every time they feel down o sad they take something out of the happy jar to cheer them up. Simple but certainly effective.

Why Oils Are The Best In Winter

I love a good facial oil and in the winter months they can be a real savior. I have a few definite favorites that I thought I would share with you just in time for the season. 100% pure oils such as Argan Oil and Rosehip are perfect if you like to keep things natural in the skincare department. Even if you have oily skin oils are a great thing to incorporate into your skincare. They add much needed winter hydration while keeping your natural oiliness at bay, they can also really help your skin in the glow department too. If you do have an oily acne prone skin type then the Kat Burki Power Trio Radiance Oil is the perfect oil to add into your skincare routine. This mixture of compatible cold-pressed oils naturally contains Salicylic Acid which softens skin while keeping it blemish free and radiant. If something luxury is what you're after then you can't get any better than the La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Dr Oil. This dry oil sinks in seamlessly and becomes one with the skin, it supports your skins natural lipid barrier keeping it hydrated and protected from signs of ageing. It calms, soothes, and protects to visibly fix your skin over time. I'm not one to really believe in skincare working overnight like 'that' but this oil is somewhat magical. I wake up with glowing, smooth skin that has somehow lost all of its redness. If you want to try your skin with an essential oil blend then I can't recommend any better than the Diana Ralys Specialty Blend Oil. Rich in antioxidants it's perfect for the face, body, and even hair, as well as being the perfect sunburn treatment. It protects from free radical damage, UV rays and signs of ageing. If you have sensitive skin then beware of essential oils as they can be irritating to some skin and even cause breakouts, personally I don't have problem with them and love this. Trust me, oils will save your skin this winter. Love...

Pacifica Super Powder Eye Trio's

I am pretty new to Pacifica, if I am honest I hadn't really ever thought about them walking past the isle in Target but recently I was sent some of their products and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. One item I have particularly fallen in love with is the Super Powder Supernatural Eye Shadow Trio's. They feel like a cream to apply and are highly pigmented but then finish down to a velvet powder like feel and don't budge or crease. They include jojoba oil and argan oil for anti-aging properties which also help the colors blend really well. The trio in Breathless, Glowing and Sunset is my favorite with its warm sun glow like colors. The highlight in there is lovely and the two orangey shades make the most perfect autumnal eye. There is also a brown trio and a blue/brown trio in the range and coming in at only $12 they are one of my favorite drugstore steals. Love...

A High End Base For Everyone

When I originally planned this post it wasn't supposed to be 'high end' but hey it just turned out that way so why not. It's coming up to the Holidays so there is no better time to treat yourself. Instead of just running down my favorite foundations, BB/CC/EE/DD Creams (sigh face) and bases I thought I would share something for everyone, but of course these are still very much firm favorites.

Givenchy Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm- This base is the BB equivalent for oilier skin types. While it is a foundation it does has a sheer-medium coverage and very much a balmy texture like a BB cream. I find this is best applied with fingers and while it has some glow it does settle down to a velvety satin finish.

Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45- If you have dry or normal skin then this is the BB cream for you. It comes in only two shades but adapts to your skin shade so don't panic about the grey tone. It has a very fresh dewy finish that really does look like skin while having some pretty good coverage. I have to set this in my t-zone but other than that I find it wears really well.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation- If you are after a good cream foundation or something that is easily transported then this is the best out there in my opinion. The small sleek stick makes it perfect for travelling without any spillages and its superb for throwing in your handbag for touches up on the go. The formula is very creamy and has a natural finish so will work for all skin types depending on what primer you use ect. I love blending this out with a beauyblender or flat topped brush and it just looks so natural on the skin. The coverage is really customizable and you can really build it up without it looking cake-y.

Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate- This is the most full coverage foundation I own and while it's matte and perfect for oily skin, I also really love it for when my skin is hydrated. The lightweight foundation sits on the skin beautifully with a soft focus matte finish and it really does feel like you're wearing nothing. You need a very minimal amount of it and it still blends very easily. If full coverage is your thing but you're fed up of the heavy cake, then this is the foundation for you.

Tom Ford Flawless Powder Foundation- If a powder is more your thing then this is the powder to get. Ok so its price is eye watering but it is very lovely indeed. I have never felt such a soft, fine powder in my life and the coverage is a good medium build-able. By it's self or over a liquid for more coverage, it never looks heavy. But... more on this tomorrow.

Air Perfection CC Compact Cushion- Something a little different is this Korean inspired foundation 'cushion' from Pur Cosmetics. It has a SPF of 50 which is going to keep your skin perfectly protected and it is wonderful for touching up on the go with it's handy compact. The coverage is quite light and it has more of a natural finish making it good for all skin types.

Tom Ford Flawless Face

My new love comes in the form of Tom Ford Beauty and the Fall Face Focus collection based on his recent runway look, is certainly something special. The Complexion Enhancing Primer is more of a bottle of sunshine and glow, than a primer and it sure is dreamy. While it does have a bit of a funky scent the actual product itself looks flawless on the skin. I have Peach Glow, that compliments my warm skin tone perfectly and adds that dose of glow and almost a little sun kissed feel. It banishes the dull tired look to your skin and has some great skincare benefits in too, such as being very hydrating indeed. To finish the perfect complexion the Flawless Powder Foundation offers a sheer to medium coverage. The incredibly soft powder glides onto the skin almost as light as air and has light reflecting properties to add that beautiful glow. It can also be used as a finishing powder for that extra boost of coverage. The compact comes with a generous sized mirror and a application sponge that is actually rather good. One side offers sheer setting coverage while the other beige side offers more of a fuller coverage. Lastly I have this beautiful Lipstick I wanted to feature, this isn't part of the collection but thought while we are on Tom Ford I would mention it. The Lip Color in So Vain is very autumnal and perfect to finish off this perfected complexion look. It is a cool toned dark plum with gold micro glitter that glides onto the lips beautifully. When I first used it I was a little unsure but it has come to grow on me and I think if you want a vampy lip with a festive twist then this is a good choice. Love...

A Holiday Gift Guide: Gift Sets

* I have been going back and forth on whether to talk about the horrific events that have unfolded over the past few days. I fell if I start talking about it I will never stop but I do just want to leave a small message before today's post. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is effected by this insane act of barbarity. What has happened is beyond belief and watching it unfold felt unreal, I can only imagine the pain the people involved felt and continue to feel. Senseless acts like this will not cripple us, they will only make us stronger. I saw a quote today, I can't quite remember what it said but it was along the lines of 'through all this hatred, love is the thing that rings loudest' and I totally agree. We will continue to support you and we will continue to have you all in our thoughts.*

Things are about to get very festive around here, you've been warned. I love Christmas or the Holiday season (whatever you like to celebrate) first of all I am a Christmas baby so yay for December, and second of all I just love gift giving. Shopping for gifts makes me incredibly happy whether it's for myself or others, and the beauty world really does Christmas gift sets and gifts like no other. My Gift Guides this year are going to be a series of four or five (I haven't quite decided yet) running once a week into December. In them I am going to be outlining each product but as I haven't actually tested a lot of these wonderful gifts yet I will be doing separate reviews, so let me know if there is something you want to read more on. Today I am going to be sharing some of my personal favorite Gift Sets for the season; to give you some inspiration on what to gift others or maybe what you want to treat your self to and maybe ask Santa for?

Fresh Skincare Heroes $58- I am a big Fresh fan and their skincare is second to none. I love the Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream in this set and I think if you have a skincare love on your hands then this is a great little kit. With a Cleanser, Moisturizer, Mask and of course Fresh's famous SPF 15 lip balm (that's bloody amazing by the way) it has everything a skincare lover could want and more. Oh and all the products are either full sized or a very generous size. No samples here. There are also a few other kits like this from Fresh ranging in price and items.

Fresh Fragrance Journey $48- I think a gift of fragrance is always a great one and with a set of three you can't really go wrong. Fresh do natural 'fresh' scents really well and the three in this set all have underlying citrus notes. Brown Sugar is their most famous scent and very sweet while not being sickly because of the citrus kick. Hesperides Grapefruit is tangy and a perfect fragrance for the summer months. Lastly you have Fresh Life, which is my personally favorite. It smells like fresh air, healthy breakfasts, and sunny days. You get 15ml in each bottle but they are not as little as you might expect.

BeautyBelnder Makeup's Best Friend $40- This in my opinion is by far the best set out there if you have a makeup lover to buy for. BeautyBlender's are the best and this set of three with their new hydrator is great value. You get an original BeautyBlender, pro Beautyblender, micro BeautyBlender and of course that hydrator for on the go. They can be used for a multitude of things and I would even say it's such great value, treat yourself to it.

Murad Simply Beautiful Holiday Set $60- This gift set is full of the best Murad has to offer. The Invisiblur Protecting Shield is a favorite of mine and not to mention how amazing the Hydro-dynamic moisturizer is. This set offers brightening, toning, and anti-aging properties.

REN Moroccan Rose Trio $39- Anything rose scented is good in my book so I would love to receive this as a gift. If you want to buy someone an indulgent bath gift then this is it. Nothing is better than a lovely gentle scrub, washing with a great smelling shower gel and then moisturizing to smell like a rose.

Caudalie Moisture Essentials Set $39- This is similar to the Fresh set in that fact it contains a cleanser (micellar water), a wonderful lip balm, and my favorite moisturizer ever, the Vinosource Sorbet. The set is targeted for sensitive skin which makes it perfect for dry, chapped, wind burned, winter skin.

Dr Jart+ BB It's Cold Outside Set $45- This set is amazing value but only available in one shade (sad face), but if you fit into the light-medium category (the BB cream does adapt to your skin tone) then it's a dream set. With travel sizes of a universal salve, sleeping mask, and micellar water as well as the full sized BB cream your certainly getting what you pay for and more.

Josie Maran Whimsical Wonder Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter Trio $25- Dry skin can be a right pain in the winter so give someone the magical gift of Argan Oil. These three body butters are all extremely rich but not heavy or sticky on the skin while all having a different twist on the Vanilla scent.

St Tropez Express Party Kit $27- Every holiday party needs a great tan, and there is noting like ringing in the new year with that golden shimmer nail polish from Ciate. The travel size of the Express Mousse is great if you are heading away and the set also comes with a tanning mitt for the perfect streak free application.

Living Proof Happy Hair Days Kit $32- Give the gift of a perfect hair day this Christmas! I love Living Proof and this travel set contains my favorite line. The shampoo and conditioner are great for travel and the dry shampoo is crazy good.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my first Holiday picks and make sure you come back next Monday for more great gift ideas! Share your Christmas wish list with me below. Love...

A Little Bit Of Smith & Cult?

So I have found my new nail polish love in the form of Smith & Cult. The formula of the polishes could be the best I have ever tried, the color selection is beautiful, and the bottles are certainly something supernatural. I have five shades right now (although I can see many more purchases to come) and they are all beyond pretty. I have been wearing Lovers Creep, a burgundy red on my nails non stop. When I say the formula of these is amazing I do not kid. Normally my favorite/longest lasting polish lasts on my nails for no more than three days before chipping or peeling, all of these have lasted on the nails past the three day mark and far, far onward (We're talking over a week!). Stockholm Syndrome is another beautiful shade, a dark grey purple. Doe My Dear looks quite nude in photos of it but in fact it really is a dove grey color and very pretty at that. Tenderoni is quite a different color in terms of nail polish but the taupe-y brown is really pretty for this time of year. Lastly I have Bitter Buddhist which is just he best darker mint ever! I have never seen any color like it and if you're a fan of pastel colors year round then this is the one for you. At $18 they are on the pricey side but still less than some other big name brands. If you do happen to be in the U.S. get them here as they run at £19 ($30) in the UK. I know I will be stocking up before I go home for good in the New Year. Love...

Dry Hair? Davines Has you Covered

I am quite fussy when it comes to shampoos and conditioners so finding one I love can be hard. I am new to Davines hair care range and the Momo Shampoo, conditioner, and hair potion seemed the perfect place to start for me. The range is perfectly formulated for dry and dehydrated hair which is exactly what I need. The Momo Shampoo is gentle on the hair and cleanses it without striping essential moisture but also doesn't make the hair feel heavy or greasy with hydrating properties. The matching Conditioner adds tons of hydration without weighing down the hair but while leaving it silky smooth and fully nourished. Lastly the Momo Hair Potion adds an extra dose of hydration to damp hair or makes the perfect finishing product for styled hair. I love using it through my lengths and ends of damp hair to add that extra dose of hydration. It also works really nicely in dry hair as it doesn't make the hair wet or sticky, but instead just tames flyways, and adds some shine. Daviens certainly get my hair stamp of approval, I think I will be trying the Minu line next. Love...

Getting Cozy This Fall With Carriere Freres

Fall is one of my favorite seasons and there is nothing better than lighting a beautiful smelling candle and snuggling down with a blanket of a chilly evening. My latest candle loves come from Carriere Freres, a French (random fact, I have started learning French this month  but more on that soon) wax craftsmanship company. The candles are all hand poured and made out of the finest scents and oils. The scent Fig Tree is the one I am constantly burning right now and it really does smell like fresh figs, which is perfectly seasonal. Damask Rose is a timeless scent as Rose truly is the Queen of the flowers. I am a huge fan of rose and I think this candle just makes a room feel so feminine and pretty, perfect for your bedroom. Lastly I have the perfect Holiday scent in the form of Cedar, it is quite manly smelling but also very warm. It literally smells like a Christmas Tree which makes it the perfect Holiday candle. So wrap up warm, put that new Netflix show you love on, and light up that perfect Carriere Freres Candle. Love...

Happy Birthday Perfect Peonies!

Today (November 10th) marks Perfect Peonies first birthday and I just can't come to terms with how much I love doing this everyday and all of your love and support. I wanted to take today's post as an opportunity to say thank you and share some of my favorite posts from the past amazing year. To start I need to say thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past year, whether you have read a post, left a comment, emailed, tweeted, or become a loyal follower I am so grateful and humbled by you. In my course of blogging I have got to 'meet' some incredible people (Hannah, Sophie you know you both make my day, Serein you continue to inspire me, and Corinne you always give me the best advice) and work with some iconic brands that I could've only dreamed of, as well as their lovely employees (It Cosmetics, Tula, Murad, your ladies are all lovely). I feel like I have achieved so much in the past year and that's all down to you reading, so I can only hope I achieve as half as much in the next year to come. Over the next year I will hopefully be able to blog full time for a while which will be amazing and a real dream come true for me, when I say I love this I really do mean it. I spend my weekends, free time, and evenings writing, taking photos, testing products (which is an amazing perk) and generally trying to put my heart and soul into this blog. I really want it to be a place that reflects me and is something that people love to read, and I sincerely hope that you do; I do like to think I have achieved that. I feel like before I started Perfect Peonies I was in a place in my life where I felt very lost and had no purpose, with this I feel like I have a purpose, I am pleasing people, and most importantly I love what I am doing and am passionate about it. I want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to spend everyday doing what I love, because quite simply without you Perfect Peonies is nothing. With that all said I wanted to share a few of my personal favorite posts from the past year so if you are new round here you can go back and have a little catch up and if you have been around since the beginning (I would be shocked and so humbled if anyone had) you can relive hopefully some of your favorite posts too.

Fresh Spring Makeup Look- This is one of my favorite makeup looks I have done. It is incredibly natural and the products used are still some of my favorites.

Dealing With Anxiety- For me this was such a 'out there' post. I was very nervous about posting it, but I got some great feedback. For me to open up about my problems like that was very hard but I am so glad I did.

Oscars Inspired Makeup- Margot Robbie- I loved this look so much! The orange lip with gold eye was just perfect, and Margot Robbie is an utter babe.

Red Lips & Rusty Eyes- The lips and eyes in this are just so perfect and especially for this time of year. Oh and can we just appreciate how long and messy my hair is.... Great work Nicola, great work.

My Top 5 Products For Spring- This post was in collaboration with the wonderful Serein from Dress Your Self Happy and it includes some products that are still some of my favorites today.

Antica Farmacista- I loved the images in this post and aesthetically it's a post I really love. Not to mention how amazing Antica Farmacista is, so heavenly.

A Rose Gold Obsession- Rose gold has really become my thing and these bangles from The Peach Box are just all the heart eye emojis. If your in search of some affordable but great quality jewelry then The Peach Box is the place to go.

30 Beauty Questions- I had so much fun writing this post and if you're new round her then get to know me a little bit.

It Cosmetics, Naturally Pretty The Romantics- This is one of my favorite palette's and I just love It Cosmetics. If you haven't heard much about the brand then I think you would enjoy this post.

My MAC Palette- This post is one of my most recent and I just love it. Is that weird to say? I love the eye shadows I picked out and I think these sort of posts are always interesting to read.

A liquid eyeshadow might not be something you're naturally drawn to but I can tell you, you need to try these Pur Eye Polishes. Coming in a little pot with a net like trap to stop spillage they are certainly a lot like the Stila Watercolor Blushes. Each small pot comes with a plastic and silicon like applicator but I personally prefer just using my fingers; quick and easy. Coming in six metallic shades there is something for everyone. A couple of favorites of mine are Satin, a pink champagne shade that perfect in the inner corner, all over the lid, or even as a cheekbone highlight. I also love Velvet which is the most beautiful duo chrome purple with hints of red, very different indeed. They feel very wet to apply and give you a good few minuets to blend before they set down and don't budge for the whole day. They are great to use as a base for other shadows, by themselves, or a few worn together. My first impressions of Pur are very good indeed, I can't wait to try more. Love...

October Favorites

Well it's that time again, the time to round up my favorites from the past month. I have quite a few makeup favorites this month and it seems to be all very high end... Sorry about that, it's just the way it is. November is a really special month here on Perfect Peonies as we will be a year old on November 10th but more thanks ect on the day.

Tom Ford Pink Ombre Blush- I have been wearing this blush most days which is rare for me, I never really wear the same blush two days in a row but this is just so beautiful I can't resist it. With it being ombre you can use the light, dark, or a mix of the two shades.

Smith & Cult Lovers Creep Nail Polish- I have become obsessed with Smith & Cult polishes, their lasting power on the nails is just amazing and the shade range is beautiful. Lovers Creep is a beautiful burgundy shade and perfect for this time of year. I will be bringing you more on the line soon so stay tuned!

Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria Matte Revolution Lipstick- I have a whole post on the Matte Revolution line HERE and I love all the shades I own but I have seemed to wear Very Victoria the most this month. The formula is creamy but matte and the color is the perfect darker nude without looking to 90's.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation- I have a full review on this foundation HERE, but it's safe to say I love it. I was unsure on it being an everyday foundation for me as I generally go for something lighter in coverage and with a bit more glow but I have been wearing this all month long and have come to love it. A thin layer gives a natural medium coverage and I have been particularly loving using it with the Beautyblender.

Emma Hardy Moringa Cleansing Balm- I picked this up while in England (btw Marks and Spence have a gift set of them which you get 50% more product for the same price as the normal tub so get your hands on it!) and have been using nothing else to remove my makeup this month. It is very 'soft' feeling and melts into the most beautiful oil that breaks down makeup like a dream.

Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Can No.20 Eyeshadow Palette- This palette is what dreams are made of. Literally if I could make a palette it would look a whole lot like this. All the shades are buttery and smooth and just so darn pretty... I can't say anymore.

Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis Fragrance- Autumnal fragrances are my favorite and Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis just smells so good. It's quite green on me but it also has the depth of the fig which makes it perfect for Fall.

ARK Hydration Injection Masque

I am pretty new to ARK Skincare and I love a good hydrating mask, so I couldn't think of a better place to start testing the line than the ARK Hydration Injection Masque. When I say I love a Moisture Mask I am not kidding I must own about 15 of them, I know not necessary. With that said it had some pretty stiff competition to live up to. The Masque is tailored for all skin ages which means leaving it on for only 5 minuets in your teens to up to overnight for the more mature ages. Personally I ignore this as I have the skin type of some one in their 50's (minus the wrinkles/ageing so far) so leave it on over night. It doesn't feel sticky or heavy on the skin and has a matte looking finish to it which is slightly stage but at the same time it stops you looking like a greasy mess, so a great one to wear in-flight. It hydrates the skin nicely, nothing intense like some of my other masks but it does indeed inject some much needed hydration and add a little glow. Full of Hyaluronic Acid, an ingredient my skin loves, it is said to provide 24 hour hydration. It's a lovely light feeling mask that does add some hydration but as far as hydrating masks go it's nothing revolutionary, it's nice but maybe not my favorite but then again nothing will rival my La Prairie Caviar Sleep Mask. If you just want a once a week treatment that's going to give a splash of moisture and brighten the complexion then it could quite well be for you.
