July Favorites 2015

I can't believe it's August! It only feels like it was Christmas two moments ago and before we know it, it will be Christmas again. As we are entering the last month of summer (can you believe it?) I have been utilizing all my summer products as much as possible.

Living Proof PHD Night Cap- I have written a full review on the PHD line HERE and this was one of the products I had never tried before. I have been loving using it on second day hair in the evenings. Normally the day after a wash my hair starts to loose it luster and shine and by adding a pump of this in the lengths and ends it really brings back the shine and makes styling much easier the next day.

Emi Jay Hair Ties- I never thought a hair tie would be a favorite but they are incredible! I was never sure about the stretch bow ties as I like to call them, as I thought they would never hold my mammoth of hair properly; but was I wrong. They are so much more comfortable than regular hair ties, they don't tug on the hair at all, and they hold your hair in place just as well. Plus they are super cute, maybe not as invisible as most hair ties but still cute. Emi Jay are also a really cool company, they do tons of cute hair stuff and apparel, and 20% of their profits go to charity.

Lorac Front of The Line Pro Liner in Nude- I love a nude liner in my waterline but finding the right shade that is also budge proof can be hard. These Lorac liners are the hardiest liners I have found, they really are not going anywhere once they are applied. They are creamy and can be smudged out before they set, but again when they do, they stay put. The nude is a perfect shade for me, not to warm and terracotta and not to pink to make me look like I have an infection, ewwww. I have a review of four shades HERE if you want to see them.

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture- My skin is dry, dry, dry. Recently it has been pretty good but in the past week or so it has started to become dry and flaky again. Moisturizer is a very important step in my skincare routine and I am always up for trying new ones especially when it's one I hear great things about. It has a rich creamy texture but at the same time doesn't feel heavy on the skin which I love especially for this time of year. It is really helping my dry patches and I can see it becoming a staple in my skincare routine.

Soleil Toujours Soleil Exotic Shimmer Body Oil- I am extremely pale so anything that is going to give me a hint of bronze is good in my book. Soleil Toujours are a company who believe staying safe in the sun shouldn't be a sacrifice, but more on their suncare another time. This oil smells incredible! Very floral so may be a acquired taste. It is also really hydrating so perfect for keeping your limbs glowing and soft. The shimmer isn't intense at all and looks very natural, while the bronzy-ness is very red toned to leaves a nice golden finish. Oh and can we just admire their packaging...

Let me know your July favorites in the comments. Love...

  1. It really does feel as though Christmas has only just been and gone, but hey! We've now nearly reached the next one aha I'm reading about those hair ties as mine has been FALLING OUT OF MY BLOODY HAIR ALL DAY. My hair is so thick, something is either too tight, or a wrap around less to lose. Even then both ways ends up hurting my head because my hair is so heavy so I'll definitely have to try these out! Something needs to change. Besides, am I being a bit trampy in thinking that they'd look nice on the wrist too??? haha

    1. I love Christmas (+I'm a Christmas baby!) so it's all good in my book! I was skeptical about the hair ties as they seemed a little to elastic-y but they hold my thick hair in place marvelously. They are great too because they leave no kinks and you can wear them to bed without them digging in or pulling. I am forever getting headaches from hair ties being to tight but have had no problems with these, in fact I love them so much the black on is in my greasy, i really need to wash you, hair now! haha!
