Rose De Grasse is Aerin's first premier parfum and boy is it a beautiful one. When I think of Aerin as a brand I tend to think classic, timeless, feminine, elegant, but modern at the same time. Radiating a beautiful modern and feminine aesthetic this fragrance is perfect for the upcoming summer months. I am not usually a fan of strong floral scents but I do love rose so I was incredibly excited to try this. Saying that I was still a little worried it could be too much for me as I am much more of a citrus and crisp scent lover, but little did I know I had nothing to worry about. for this is her love for flowers especially roses and the most rare and special ones that go into this blend. I am currently sitting here with the bottle up my nose so I can describe it to you, gosh it's just so good! Made with the hundred-petaled Rose Centifolia which is hand picked in Grasse, (the french capital of perfumery for hundreds of years) enhanced by Rose Otto Bulgarian and Rose Absolute and given further depth by warming musk, the scent perfectly captures the flower that symbolizes beauty and femininity. It doesn't at all smell like your grandmother like you might expect, for a luxury floral scent it actually has a cleanness almost sourness to it and has a richness without being overpowering and in your face unlike many luxury fragrances. I think many think of a floral scents or even just rose scents and think of it as being old or dated, this smell the complete opposite; Fresh, soft and timeless. The fragrance is modern, informal, and fitting for women across many ages. I am a huge believer in that the right fragrance can totally transform a person, wearing this I feel elegant, feminine, and beautiful. The bottle is exquisite, modern, sleek and the crisp white and gold make it perfectly fitting, not to mention how beautiful it will look on any dresser. Now some may look at the $185 (£135) price tag and wince a little inside (I think I did a little) but you have to remember the quality of high grade ingredients that go into this, the roses are hand picked for goodness sake! So this perfume is for those women who love rose and those who have always been scared of floral scents, fear no more Rose De Grasse will have you changing your mind.
