The latest base drop from NARS isn't quintessentially me but I do like to dabble in matte skin occasionally. My problem is that I never like it because it just sucks the life out of my dry complexion, well until now that is. Their new
Velvet Matte Skin Tint offers a matte natural finish to the skin while proving sun protection with SPF30 and still giving your skin some much needed hydration. For a tinted moisturizer it has a decent whack of coverage in my opinion, I would say certainly medium. It has quite a thin creamy consistency that glides onto the skin with ease and unlike other matte formulas it doesn't grab onto any dry patches or uneven skin. For a really skin like finish I apply it with a beautyblender but if I want a little more coverage out of it then something like a buffing brush works really well. I am in the shade Finland and it's the perfect match, it also comes in 11 other shades so there certainly is something for every skin tone and color. I can see this is going to be my go to base in the hot and sweaty summer months to stop that shine showing through. Whether you have dry skin or oily I can certainly say this is one for everyone. I am a big NARS fan an in my opinion they continue to hit it out of the park when it comes to new releases... My only wish put a pump on that darn Sheer Glow,
